DIY: Bomber Jacket with Patches

Ever since I began to see patches were becoming a trend, I desperately wanted to have something like that for myself. I did some research and found that once you put a patch on any item of clothing, the price almost doubles! I didn’t want to spend so much money on something like that, so I decided to do a DIY!

Here’s the look I was going for:

A couple of weeks ago, Forever 21 had a huge sale on many of their items, and I found a really cute oversized bomber jacket from there. I only paid $7 (USD) for it, so I thought it was a steal!

I was actually looking for a longer bomber jacket, and although this is long, it’s very oversized! I actually bought a size small, and it still looks very big on me.

I also bought some patches from different places, all at very reasonable prices

The two “Retro Pop” patches I got from  Michaels for about $0.80 each! The pack in the middle I bought from JCPenney for about $3.59

I’m actually planning on buying some more patches because my jacket still looks kind of plain. (Patches from Lord and Taylor are currently on sale here)

After buying the bomber jacket and patches, all I had to do was stick the patches on (they were the stick on type). I actually still have to reglue them on because I’m really afraid that they will fall off.

This is not the final look, I ended up rearranging them multiple times

Here’s the final look!

I couldn’t do a mirror picture because the lighting was so bad near my mirror, so sorry about that!

As you can see, there’s still a lot of blank spaces that I would like to fill with more patches! But I hope you enjoyed the look so far.

In total, I spent about $11 on this DIY! I think that’s a pretty good deal!
